Prime Minister Phan Van Khai visits Dong Nai

On January 31st, the third day of the Lunar New Year, Prime Minister Phan Van Khai paid a visit to Dong Nai and gave his New Year’s greetings to the Provincial Party Committee and its people.

Prime Minister is talking with former leaders of Dong Nai province

 

 He was received by Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, Mr. Vo Van Mot, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and other representatives.Mr. Thanh introduced to the Prime Minister the socio-economic development in the province over the past year. He also expressed the determination of the Provincial Party Committee and its people to make all efforts to achieve the goals for the period 2006-2010 set at the 8th Provincial Party Congress. Mr. Khai appreciated the local governments determination to fulfil its targets and hoped that the province would continue to score new achievements in economic and social development with the aim of meeting the requirements of the province’s rapid drive into modernization. The Prime Minister said that greater attention should be paid to improvements of living conditions of local poor people and social policy beneficiaries as well as conducting inspections, handling complaints and denunciations, fighting against bureaucracy, corruption and the waste of State resources …In addition, Mr. Khai said Dong Nai province is to focus on quality of economic growth and services at its industrial zones. Mr. Khai also asked local government to accelerate administrative reform and continue to simplify policies to create more favorable conditions for foreign investment aiming at making the province to become the most attractive destination for foreign investors. He expressed his belief that the province would retain its leading position in Vietnam in the cause of the country’s industrialization and modernization. The Prime Minister wanted to send his best wishes to the province’s Party Committee and its people on the occasion of the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet).
