Project Entitled “School Stage” Summed Up In Dongnai.

After 3-month deployment, the project entitled “School Stage” co-organized by the Bureau of Performance Arts, Center for Preservation and Development of Traditional Arts of Vietnam, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Education and Training along with Dongnai Reformed Theatre Group was concluded at Bien Hoa Culture and Information Center on August 24. Attending the closing ceremony was Huynh Thi Nga, Vice-Chairperson of the provincial People’s Committee.

The extract named “Look for Mother” performed by students of Phu Dong Junior High School ( Nhon Trach district).

The project has been conducted with the aim of helping students, especially ones of junior high school level get access better to traditional arts, one of which is Cai Luong (reformed theatre) via activities at school. This can contribute to preservation and development of these tradition arts for young people and selection of gifted students to be cultivated to become cores of the traditional arts sector.     

The project was deployed in some schools across the province, namely Nguyen Duc Ung Junior High School ( Long Thanh district ), Vo Truong Toan Junior High School ( Vinh Cuu district ), Phu Dong Junior High School ( Nhon Trach district).

At the summing-up ceremony, audiences had opportunity to enjoy nice voices of students from these schools with extracts of Cai Luong plays such as “Look for Mother”, Vo Thi Sau”, “ Princess Thien Kieu” of “Trang Hoa Mai” play all staged by Dong Nai Reformed Theatre Group.
