Many activities on the International Children’s Day June 1st

After nearly 3 months’ preparation, the Doll House program in Dong Nai Province has collected over 120000 dolls. On June 1^st 2006, beautiful dolls and meaningful gifts were donated to children in difficult situations. In Bien Hoa city, 1500 children in difficult situation received dolls and each district in Long Khanh and Long Khanh Town received 300 dolls . At Dong Nai Children’s House, the organization committee donated 200 dolls and gift packages to children.

On this occasion, The Doll House at Dong Nai Children’s House was opened to receive lovely dolls from children. At present, 1700 dolls are beautified and shown with many varieties, from pretty dolls to picturesque and lovely cotton-stuffed pigs …

In our childhood, most of us used to embrace and care for dolls even when they did not belong to us and perhaps there are no children who do not like dolls. For children, dolls are not only dolls but also their beloved “children” or “younger sister” to love and to care for although they are made from fabrics, woods or plastic etc Therefore, they are pretty and deeply meaningful gifts bringing joy to children and adding wings to their dreams.

The “Pretty Doll Contest” had 89 young contestants (4 to 6 years of age) from Long Thanh, Nhon Trach district and Bien Hoa city. The results were that 3 first prizes were awarded to 3 children: Nguyen Tam Nuong (4 years of age) – from the gifted-children section of The Children’s House, Vo Ngoc Tuong Doan (5 years of age) – from Tam Hiep Kindergarten and Tran Thi Thuy Ngoc – from Hiep Phuoc Kindergarten in Nhon Trach district.

Also this morning, at The Children’s House of Dong Nai Province, many other various programs were organized for children: popular games, drawing contest, beautiful hand-writing contest, karaoke songs, cake-making etc

Pretty Doll Contest

Dinh Quan district has recently donated 767 gift packages to children in difficult situation living in the district on the occasion of the International Children’s Day June 1^st. Each 50.000 VND-valued gift package contained cakes, candies … and dolls. 275 of these packages were donated by the Province and 492 packages were bought with the District budget. Recipients of gifts were children in particularly difficult situation : handicapped children, orphans, wandering children, harassed children etc

·        On the occasion of the International Children’s Day, Bibica Company donated 6000 gift packages containing confectionery, worth 50.000.00 million VND to poor children, orphans and handicapped children. They included 5000 gift packages donated to children from Warm Roof Program and schools for handicapped children participating the “Children World” at Le Van Tam Park in district 1, Ho Chi Minh City and 1000 gift packages donated to poor and handicapped children in Dong Nai province.
