In the morning of May 3, at the meeting hall of provincial People’s Committee, the 7th plenum of provincial People’s Council session 7th (term 2004-2009) was officially opened.

 The meeting was presided over by Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh, member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People’s Council and Mr. Huynh Chi Thang, vice chairman of provincial People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, standing member of the provincial People’s Council .

Addressing at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh unveiled that at this meeting the provincial People’s Council will examine in order to approve major projects on socioeconomic developments in the province in the 5 year period (2006-2010) and projects to enhance public transportation. Due to the great amount of works, the provincial People’s Committee will nominate additional member to the provincial Committee for Economy and Budget and dismiss one vice chairman and one member of the provincial People’s Committee. He also requested all delegates to study and mentioned at the Resolution of the 8th provincial Party Congress.

All delegates in the meeting had heard the statement of provincial People’s Committee on enhancing public transportation read by Mr. Dinh Quoc Thai, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, statement on socioeconomic developments in the province in the 5 year period (2006-2010) and investigation reports of the provincial Committee for Economy and Budget. And then, they all will discuss more detail on related issues to these projects. On this occasion, the provincial People’s Council officially launched its website at http://hdnd.dongnai.gov.vn.
