In November 27th, 2007 morning: the Delegate Congress of  HCM Communist Youth Union of Dong Nai province in the term of 2007-2012 opened

        In the term of the Youth Union, through the works of education and popularization, construction and consolidation of the Union and organization of revolution movements, the quality of the Union members and youth union organizations were enhanced. The Union’s leadership skills were developed, and its action programs were also deployed widely, contributing to carrying out the Resolution of the VI provincial Union Congress proposed by the provincial Party Committee. In the past 5 years, it was reported that the Youth Union tasks achieved many positive changes with 163,630 new Union members, raising the total of Union members in the province by 203,495 ones. The Youth Union staff and young Union members were trusted to undertake the Party tasks and State management.

        At the congress, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Central Party Commissioner Tran Dinh Thanh honored the great efforts and

achievements of Dong Nai Youth in the past time. At the same time, he emphasized that apart from the strengths, there still remained limitations which needed to be strictly reviewed. In the coming time, movements should renew their content and form of activities in order to gather more young people, especially the religious and the ethnic minority ones as well as the youth in private and foreign-invested enterprises. The Youth Union had shown its role and responsibilities, and become the firm support for the youth. It had also mastered the youth’s expectation, making a contribution to building the moral lifestyle of young people in order to meet the demands of the integration.

        At the congress today, there will be many speeches which report the summing up of the congress’s documents, all suggestions for the VII Union Congress of Dong Nai province and the IX National Union Congress, and the results of discussing documents. The executive board of the VII provincial Youth Union and delegation of the IX National Union Congress will be also elected.

         The congress will continue to take place and end in November 28^th, 2007.
