On behalf of the provincial leaders, Huynh Chi Thang delivered a speech to welcome the delegation and reported briefly on socio-economic situation of the province in the first nine months this year. Accordingly, the province’s GDP growth rate in the first nine months this year hit 15.4%. Dongnai is one of provinces achieving high growth rate in industrial production, including high attraction of foreign investment. Up to now, there have been 948 valid foreign investment certificates with the total registration capital of over US$853 mlillion.
To date, Dongnai province has 29 industrial zones with total area of 5,452 hectares for lease. 3,556 hectares has been leased, making up 65.2% total area. Dongnai has projects of big corporations such as Fujitsu Computer Products of Vietnam, Inc., Hualon Corporation, CP Vietnam Livestock Co., Formosa Corp., etc. Addition to high growth rate in industry, Dongnai has big socio-economic projects, namely Dongnai General Hospital project with 1,400 sickbeds and investment expenditure of over US$60 million, Long Thanh Airport project expected to be the biggest airport in Southeast Asia.
Two sides exchanged experience in operation of their People’s Council for fields such as environmental management, fundamental construction investment funded by state capital, planning and planning management, vocational training for agriculture and rural areas, etc.

welcome and treatment. He also expressed expectation that Gyeongnam and Dongnai province would expand cooperative relation and develop closer friendship between two sides. Besides, he officially invited Dongnai to join 2 upcoming events held in Gyeongnam: conference on convention on salt-marsh areas (from October 28 to November 04), a meeting on international women’s human rights.
Since 2004 to now, this is the third working visit of Gyeongnam Province’s delegation to Dongnai province.
This afternoon, the delegation will pay a working visit to Dongnai Secondary School of Culture and Arts.
