On the 62th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, the mourning ceremony to bury the remains of four martyrs and assault youths is held

On the morning of July 27, the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, Bien Hoa city, departments, sectors, unions, armed forces and the masses visited the Martyrs’ Cemetery. Simultaneously, the mourning ceremony to bury four martyrs and assault youths’ remains, which were transferred from Tay Ninh, was held. These martyrs and assault youths died in 1967. The comrades: Le Hong Phuong – Deputy Secretary of the provincial Standing Party Committee and Vo Van Mot – Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee attended the ceremony.

    Delegates together reminisced about the tradition of the 62th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, laid wreaths and burned incense at the Martyrs’ Temple and the Stele Monument, where heroic martyrs’ names are cited. Committees, sectors and unions together burned incense to express their gratitude at 4,000 graves at the Martyrs’ Cemetery.

    The mourning ceremony to bury the remains of four martyrs and assault youths: Nguyen Van Kiet, Nguyen Van Tin, Nguyen Thanh Nhon in Nhon Trach district and Nguyen Thi Xuan Mai in Long Thanh district, who died in Tay Ninh in 1967, was solemnly held.

    * The same day, the delegation led by the Vice chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee, Huynh Thi Nga and the delegation of departments, sectors and unions paid a visit to and offered gifts worth VND500,000 and VND2,000,000 in cash to Medical Military Hospital 7B (under Military Zone 7). Also, the delegation visited and offered gifts to Martyrs’ Parents Care Center. Earlier, the delegation of the provincial People’s Committee visited and offered gifts to Thu Duc Vocational and Training School (under Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs), Long Duc Care Center for Severely Disabled Veterans (in Ba Ria Vung Tau).

    * Also the same day – July 27, 2009, the provincial Standing Committee collaborated with Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in organizing the program “Candle-lighting ceremony” to express their gratitude at more than 4,000 graves of martyrs in the provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery at 6:30 p.m.
