Dongnai Invests US$32.4 Million In Construction of Biotechnology Research and Application Center.

As scheduled, the center will be started constructing on 208-hectare area of Xuan Duong commune, Cam My district with the total investment capital of US$32.4 million. This is the project aimed at serving the cause of scientific and technological development of this region as well as adjacent ones. Its main functions include researching and applying scientific projects concerning agricultural biotechnology, health biotechnology, and environmental biotechnology; receiving and transferring, offering services, consulting, and deploying modern biotechnological technologies to make biological products serving agriculture, health, and environment, etc.

Tran Van Vinh says, “ As scheduled, the Biotechnology Research and Application Center will be started constructing in 2010 and focus on application function. At first, there will be priority over biotechnology serving agricultural production”.
