Dong Nai province wins 3 prizes in Sao Khue Award.

The Sao Khue Award, which has been organized since 2003 by VINASA with the sponsorship of National Committee for Information Technology and the Ministry of Post and Telecommunication, is an honorable award and an important activity of software and information technology sector in Vietnam. It aims to honor and commend enterprises, groups, individuals who have significant achievement to develop software industry and information technology in Vietnam and simultaneously orientates software industry toward modern development.  

On May 20 2005, the Judging panel consisting of 21 members who are software experts, officials from State bodies and press organizations and the head of this panel, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong, Deputy Minister of Post and Telecommunication evaluated products basing on criteria and regulations of Sao Khue Award.  36 of 52 nominees won the Sao Khue 2006 Award: 3 awards in the field of software and Information Technology Development Strategy, 3 awards in the field of ERP application, 2 awards in the field of Speeding up the development of software industry, 6 awards in the field of Excellent Software Businesses, and 21 awards for typical IT applications in which Dong Nai province has 3 prizes, namely M-office and EncrypSign Software written by Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province are honorably awarded 4-Star awards for ultimate software and Human Resource Management using EPR written by Bien Hoa Confectionery Joint Stock Company.  

According to the organizers, the significant thing of this year award is to classify winning software in different levels by attaching start symbols to the award. Among 36 products wining Sao Khue Award 2006, 3 products have been attached 5 stars (the highest level) and 18 products are attached 4 stars. All winning enterprises will be granted rights to use the Excellent Software logo in their businesses. The attachment this logo in brand names will make consumers more comfort in choosing softwares.

With the sponsor of Trade Ministry and Finance Ministry, VINASA also open a Exhibition on Sao Khue Award wining products at Giang Vo Exhibition Center from 26 to 29 of May, aiming to help software business to advertise their products.
