Seminar on results of applying the cleaner production model in Xuan Lap rubber processing plant

        This project aims at building and popularizing the cleaner production program for the natural rubber processing industry of Dong Nai province, simultaneously encouraging enterprises to apply ISO (International Standard Organization) 14000 system. The project started in September 2007. As experts proposed, there were 64 cleaner production solutions including enhancing the awareness of workers, adjusting equipment, controlling the process well, changing less hazardous chemicals, and using energy safely and effectively. After 3 months of the implementation, 34 cleaner production solutions initially had shown satisfactory results. The electric consuming rate of the waste water treatment station decreased from 26,5kWh/T (in October) to 20kWh/T (In December).

        As scheduled, 16 cleaner production solutions will continue to be carried out in 2008, and the remaining 14 ones need to be considered in term of the effective level in order to enter the application.
