The province’s industrial output value in January 2008 reaches over VND6,000 billion.

According to information from the provincial Department of Industry, the provincial industrial value is estimated to reach VND 6,036.76 billion, up 0.9% against last month, and up 19.46% against the same period last year.

Every economy sector has increase in industrial production value, except central state industrial sector having decline in industrial production value. Particularly, central state industrial sector gains VND721.11 billion, down 2.6%  against December 2007, but up 18% over the same period last year. Local state industrial sector reaches VND253.2 billion, up 4.4% against last month, and up 7.1% against the same period last year with 11 industries per 12 industries having increasing industrial output,compared to the same period last year. As for non-state industrial sector, it gains VND780.4 billion, up 3.5% over last month, and up 16.6% compared to the same period last year. Foreign invested sector reaches VND4,282.05 billion, up 0.8% over last month.

As the first month of 2008 as well as a month of production concentration , in order to meet demand of consuming on Lunar Tet Occasion, all production industries have a chance to raise their output value. Estimated value of private economic sector is quite high against last month (up 3.5%) with some commodity expected to grow noticeably, for example, garment estimated to raise over two times against last month, processing food up 46.5% , various confectionary up 40.5%, wine-beer-soft drink up 30.5%. Other need of product used for production such as construction material also increases due to construction need in dry season and demanding completion by Lunar new year.
