Over half billion USD invested in Dong Nai in quarter I

Provincial People’s Committee informed that to the end of March, 2016, total capital from newly invested projects and existed projects registered to expand was over 511 million USD, account for nearly 548% of the plan in 2016 and were twice as much as the same period in 2015. In which, there were 22 newly invested projects and 21 existed projects registered to expand capital. About the disbursement in quarter I – 2016, Dong Nai also reached 250 million USD, 4.5% more that the same period last year and accounted for 17% of total disbursement plan of the whole year 2016.​


In quarter I, Many projects with fairly high registered capital were from Japanese enterprises including 3 newly invested projects and 4 existed projects registered for expansion. From Korean enterprises, there were 9 newly invested projects and 7 existed projects registered to expand. So far, Dong Nai is having nearly 1.6 thousand FDI projects with the total invested capital of over 28.3 billion USD, including 1.2 thousand projects which are still validated with the total capital of over 23.8 billion USD. Thus, the other 370 projects were retrieved for the mail reason of being ineffective.
