Rice is now over the stage of stem elongation, which may restrict losses caused by golden snails.

However, according to an alert from provincial Department of Plant Protection, after the stage of stem elongation, golden snails cause no critical losses for plants. To protect the successive crop, farmers should do regular field checking, even after the stage of stem elongation, in combination with other pest and disease control.
