180 cases of forest protection and development law infringement in the first 6 months

According to a report from department of agriculture and rural development, in the first 6 months of 2011, forest administration units has regularly associated with local authorities to strengthen timely inspection and detection over any endangerment towards forest and forest land. after inspection and control activities, they has revealed 180 cases of infringement against forest protection and development.

Forest management unit is carrying out the patrol for forest management and protection

 


It is recorded that there are 05 cases of illegal deforestation; 06 cases of exploiting wood and other forest products; 42 cases of breach of wild animal management and protection; 52 cases of unlawful forest product transportation; 01 case of violating regulations on wood and forest product processing; 73 cases of different encroachments. to deal with these violations, 153 cases were fined and 01 case underwent criminal proceedings; Confiscated products were listed such as 30,889 m3 of a variety of round wood; 105,150 m3 of sawed wood of all kinds. For wild animal, it was calculated that there were 245 animals estimating about 121 kgs.
