In a report on the implementation of the Decision 74 of new rural construction validated by provincial People’s Committee, the mechanization in agricultural production at focus communes is gradually meeting demands for production and human force liberation. However, several stages like seeding and processing still stay low, which affects much over the quality of agricultural products.

Bringing machines into operation can liberate human force.

Accordingly, land treatment stage is wholly using machines for rice, sugar cane and cassava. And for short-term plants like corn, bean and peanut, cotton, etc., the mechanization rate is just about 40-50%. At the feeding stage, the irrigation for perennial trees such as coffee, pepper, fruit tree and several vegetable applies mechanization at the percentage of 70%. At the harvest stage, rice and corn hulling is totally mechanized but the mechanization of others is about 30-40%. Particularly, the seeding stage has not been mechanized yet.
