Particularly, the central state-owned industries hit VND4.59 trillion (or US$223.32 million), up 2.3 percent over the same period, accounting for 43.6 percent according to annual plans.
12 out of 13 industries show an increase in production value over the same period, but one shows a decrease in production value (Power declines by 54.4 percent).
Among 12 industries, Steel increases by 17 percent, Food and Beverages by 7 percent, and Building Materials by 4.2 percent.
Local state-owned industries hit VND1.5 trillion (or US$73.05 million), up 9.2 percent over the same period, accounting for 45 percent according to annual plans.
11 out of 11 industries show an increase in production value over the same period.
Particularly, Stone Exploitation increases by 3.2 percent, Food and Beverages by 3 percent, Tobacco by 17.9 percent, and Garment by 6 percent.
Non-state industries hit VND7.59 trillion (or US$368.8 million), up 20.4 percent over the same period, accounting for 48 percent according to annual plans.
Industries taking a large proportion have maintained growth such as Food and Drink – up 16.5 percent, Garment-Leather-Footwear – up 19.9 percent, Wood and Forestry Product Processing – up 19.8 percent, Rubber and Plastic Product Making – up 23.9 percent.
Foreign-invested industries hit VND43.93 trillion (or US$2.13 billon), up 18.8 percent over the same period, accounting for 48.2 percent according to annual plans.
Some industries show a considerable increase in production value over the same period: Food and Beverages by 18.7 percent; Textiles by 21.7 percent; Garment, and Fur and Leather Tanning and Dyeing by 19.9 percent; Leather Tanning and Preliminary Processing, Luggage, Handbags, Saddles, and Footwear by 15.5 percent; Chemical and Chemical Products by 9.7 percent.
In the first half of 2011, 8 out of 9 major industries show an increase in production value over the same period.
Particularly, Mining and Building Materials Production rises by 12.5 percent, Agricultural Products and Food Processing by 13 percent, Textile-Garment-Footwear by 26.4 percent, Wood Processing by 19 percent, Paper Making and Publishing by 6.4 percent, Chemical-Rubber-Plastic by 11.4 percent, Engineering by 21 percent, Power-Electronics by 8 percent.
The production value of Construction rises by 16.2 percent over the same period.
