Receiving the delegation, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai said that the gross domestic product of the province (GRDP) in the period of 2010-2015 has an average growth of 12% / year, while per capita income reaches USD 2,800. Dong Nai is one of four leading provinces and cities in Vietnam to attract investment, where nearly 19 thousand enterprises are operating.

Dong Nai currently has one project invested by Belgium, with a total capital of USD 6 million. The main businesses are diamond processing and manufacturing of diamond cutting tools.
According to Mr. Dominique Casier, Belgium has much potential in agricultural processing, mechanical engineering, construction of urban infrastructure, maritime, services and green technology ... Dong Nai is a favorable area for industrial development, services and investment. However, the investment of Belgium in the province is not much. In the coming time, the Belgian Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City will serve as a bridge to introduce businesses to invest in Dong Nai in various fields and also invites Dong Nai’s businesses to invest in Belgium.
