Being a part of the project on human resources development in service of the economy and society in Dong Nai province, the Program No.5 on training and fostering gifted students has not yet met the set targets.

The robot competition is attracting a large number of students

The program is aimed to timely discover and foster gifted and talented students in the fields of science, technology, sports, foreign languages, culture and arts so that they can become the young specialized officials and public employees in future, meeting the socio-economic development target of the province until 2010 and a vision toward 2020.

Sports training

After nearly 4-year implementation, many activities of the program have not met the set plan but still achieved some positive results in both quality and quantity. In particular, the province organized 4 informatics training courses for 47 students in 3 districts, not meeting the target set in 2010. As for robot design, 78 gifted students were trained and 142 students have been trained and fostered. Although there were only 4/11 districts, towns and Bien Hoa city that organized the training courses for the gifted, the quality of these courses was higher than those in previous years. More and more students have participated in robot competitions and won prizes. Four classes for the gifted in foreign languages were also opened in 3/11 districts, towns and Bien Hoa city with 90 students. The training of gifted students in culture, arts and sports has met the set targets. Thanks to this, these students have opportunity to improve their skills and abilities. Special gifted classes were effectively organized and students received a lot of high awards at provincial-level and national-level contests.
