Dong Nai: Great Buddhist Ceremony to mark 1000 years of Thang Long-Ha Noi

On the morning of July 30, the management board of Dong Nai Buddhist Association organized the Great Buddhist Ceremony to welcome 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Ha Noi (1010-2010) at Dong Nai provincial Event and Convention Centre.

Vice-Chairman of Dong Nai Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front (DCVFF) Nguyen Xuan Chien offers flowers to the management board of Dong Nai Buddhist Association  

 At the ceremony, the Buddhist monks and nuns praised the achievements and merit of Ly Thai To King and other well-known contemporary Zen Buddhists; they also prayed for peaceful country and prosperous people and for the peace of heroic martyrs’ souls. Embracing the policy of great national unity, for the past years, dignitaries, monks and Buddhist followers in the province have upheld their traditions and actively participated in many charitable activities such as helping needy people and flood victims, etc.

  On behalf of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee, the provincial People’s Council, the provincial People’s Committee, and DCVFF, Vice Chairman Nguyen Xuan Chien gave best wishes to the monks and nuns and highly appreciated their valuable contributions to the province’s development. He expressed his hope that the Buddhist dignitaries and followers would continue to strengthen the Buddhist’s traditions and take part in patriotic movements, joining hands with the people to build a powerful and prosperous nation.
