In 2007, with non-stop efforts of the whole staff, Dong Nai customs fulfilled their duty very well and exceeded the set target in all aspects. The total number of export declaration was 273,848 forms, up 17.64% against the same period of 2006; the total import-export goods turnover was more than US$10 billion, up 28.11% over the same period; the tax collection till December 31st attained over VND3.5 billion, accounting for 109.73% compared to the year plan. Checking work after customs clearance was carried out with 18 cases, 8 decisions on collection of tax arrears cost over VND6.1 billion, etc.
Attending and addressing at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai highly appreciated non-stop efforts of the whole staff in Dong Nai customs, and simultaneously directed that: in 2008, there will be many positive changes on the situation of investment in the province, thus Dong Nai customs should continue to step up administrative reform, each cadres must strive to improve both professional knowledge and awareness, making contribution to develop localities, and well accomplishing the assigned tasks.
