Some entrepreneurs
located in Dong Nai are making efforts for production recovery
However, when the corporate community must face many difficulties due to the heavy effect of the epidemic, they are expecting the Government and authorities to have the best specific and appropriate solutions to recover production.
Entrepreneur try their best to recover
Along with foreign-invested business in Industrial Zones, many local businesses and entrepreneurs have been returning to production.
At The Linh Co., Ltd., specializing in the production of blankets, sheets, pillows, and mattresses, production activities located in the blockade zone in Ho Nai Ward (Bien Hoa City) have been reopened after halting within 3 months.
Mr. Pham The Linh, the Director of the company, said that when they reopened in the situation of many damaged machinery and equipment, insufficient input raw materials, the market was still quiet. However, a large number of officers and employees in the company are so glad that the production is being recovered. “A lot of difficulties and challenges have to be faced and overcome such as only about 30% of the company's workforce have returned to production. To assure the employees’ safety, they must be fully aware of the regulations of the Department of Health. We hope that the progress of injecting the 2nd dose vaccine for workers will be accelerated to have more peace of mind working, "- Mr. Pham The Linh expected.
Similarly, Ms. Trinh Thi Uyen Phuong, the Director of Phuong Sinh Trading Production Co., Ltd. informed employees about the reopening of businesses after many halting days. According to Ms. Phuong, the company is having a source of wood materials for the production and export of the wooden furniture. Employers will make efforts to implement the production and business plans as well with 2 factories, and at the same time make a peace of mind for employees.
Finding a solution in order to continue solving
According to businesses, besides urgent solutions on capital and cash flow for businesses, workforces need to be focused more than ever, both short and long term. The prolonged Covid-19 epidemic has forced workers to return to their former provinces. Therefore, the National Assembly and the Government direct authorities to make a scheme to welcome and support workers returning to their homeland to stabilize their lives so that if the epidemic is over, people can return to Industrial Zones to contribute their strength to production.
Mr. Le Xuan Quan, Chairman of the Provincial Dong Nai Wood and Handicraft Industry Association said that following the recent epidemic, the association's members have progressively stabilized production, but the problem currently is that the number of employees has reduced compared to previously. When enterprises suspend production for 2-3 months, some employees have decided to go back to their countryside before the enterprises can operate again. "Although we have been trying extremely hard and striving to maintain, we can only call on roughly 70% of the workforce compared to previously. While currently, the manufacturing market has the peak production season towards the end of the year, increasing output quantity is critical," said Mr. Le Xuan Quan.
From the perspective of local authorities, Dong Nai is trying to encourage employees to stay. Tens of thousands of employees in the province have been supported by the province to move to the locality according to their wishes in recent days. Meeting employees' hopes and supporting them to return to their hometown, the provincial leaders want employees to return to Dong Nai soon to continue working. Cao Tien Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, also instructed that relevant agencies be prepared to welcome back employees following the epidemic.
Mr. Pham Tan Cong, Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) said that state from a macro viewpoint that many international economic experts believe the Covid-19 pandemic would have a long-term impact on the economic operation of the economy, national governance, social governance, and corporate governance. Because the economic recovery process has taken longer than expected, several nations have enacted new legal regulations and special policies that will last for many years in order to assist enterprises in resuming operations.
