Renovating the form of organized activities

The first point is that the Youth Union at all levels promoted propaganda and introduced the contents of Marxism - Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought; guidelines, policies, and laws of the Communist Party and State; implement the study of the Resolution of the National Party Congress, the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, the thematic of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style in 2021, implement 4 main theoretical lessons ​​(amended and supplemented) of the Youth Union, the Youth Law, etc., through online conference programs broadcast live on the Fanpages of the Youth Union, Association, and Team.

In the country's major events, besides designing propaganda info-graphics on social networks, the Youth Union also designed media’s products and organized many activities online to spread the meaning of events, and also meet the needs, which is to access information, of Youth Union’s members. For example, during the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly, and deputies of People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term, the Provincial Youth Union issued audiobooks to propagate on the social network of the Youth Union, Association, and Team on basic information about the Election of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies laws attracted more than 1 million visitors. At the same time, organize a photo contest of 'Beauty in blue' on election day, mobilize Youth Union’s members to respond to a media campaign and vote on social media, etc. to help young people better understand the meaning of election day.

In the complicated development of the Covid-19 pandemic, the pandemic prevention and control are required to propagate and share information promptly and accurately about the pandemic as well as mobilize youth, citizens. The Provincial Youth Union has organized a series of activities on the social network, which is the online talk show ‘Dong Nai’s loves and unbreakable against pandemics’; create websites to support Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control in the province areas; coordinated implementation of epidemiological information’s maps of Covid-19 patients, etc.

In order to adapt to the pandemic, during the past time, preliminary and summary conferences, training programs, even branches, and seminars activities have also been implemented by the Youth Union on social networks. Mr. Phan The Cong, Secretary of Tan Phu District Youth Union, said that many activities organized online are appropriate. Therefore, even when the pandemic has been controlled, all levels of the Youth Union should flexibly apply these forms, should only gather when absolutely necessary, and maintain the online form for saving time, efforts, and expenses for the unit.

Focusing on practical actions

The Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union - Mr. Ho Hong Nguyen said that when the Covid-19 epidemic began to appear in Vietnam in 2020, the Youth Union at all levels began to make changes in the way in which movements were carried out in the deeper and more specific direction, promoting the role of youth union members.

In the youth volunteer movement, from the beginning of the year until now, all levels of the Youth Union have embarked on practical projects and tasks, notably taking care of people and children affected by the Covid-19 epidemic and the participation in the prevention and control of Covid-19. 

During the peak of the epidemic, the Youth Union at all levels from the province to the grassroots simultaneously established the Blue Shirt Defense Team joining hands in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic to proactively respond to the epidemic, attracting thousands of people who are youth members participating. Forces participating in the Blue Shirt Defense Team and joining hands in disease prevention and control at all levels, actively participated in preparing food and food items delivered to people in difficulty in medical isolation and lockdown areas. Moreover, they also helped in mental support for Covid-19 patients being treated at field hospitals in the province; assisted medical forces in investigating and tracing close contacts of infected cases, injected vaccines, inputted data, etc. Organizations of delegations at all levels focused on mobilizing resources to support the frontlines fighting against the epidemic through activities such as supporting equipment, medical supplies, food and water, etc.

 Through the youth volunteer movement, there were many examples of typical youth union members volunteering to contribute to the community. In which, it can be mentioned the case of Mr. Nguyen Duy Thong, a volunteer of Dinh Quan District Union. Accordingly, during the fighting against the Covid-19 epidemic, Mr. Thong together with the District Union held 8 market sessions of 0 dong in the district; joined the Blue Shirt Defense Teams, joined hands in disease prevention, became a blue shirt shipper, assisted to install ‘So suc khoe dien tu’ application for people in the district to support epidemic prevention and control. In addition, Mr. Thong also coordinated to organize the program of giving books of love - overcoming the pandemic, the program of supporting the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic; mobilized necessities to support people inside and outside the district.

 To meet the need of distributing necessities into medical isolation and lockdown areas with the limit in human strength to limit infection, the Provincial Youth Union has coordinated with Lac Hong University to build robots transporting necessities into lockdown and medical isolation areas. Within 7 days, students from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Lac Hong University successfully researched and manufactured robots, contributing to the prevention and control of epidemics in the province.
