(News Portal – Dong Nai) – On January 31, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Phi worked with relevant units on the household waste treatment plant project to generate electricity in Vinh Tan commune, Vinh Cuu district.

According to the joint venture of Ecotech Viet Nam Technology Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company and Le Delta Joint Stock Company, up to now, the project investor has prepared a feasibility study report and has basically completed the project, and an environmental impact report has been submitted to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The current problem is that the detailed 1/500 planning project drafted and approved by the People's Committee of Vinh Cuu district has not been completed, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has not approved the environmental impact assessment report.
Therefore, investors recommend that the province direct Vinh Cuu district and related units to pay attention to early implementation of the preparation, submission, appraisal and approval of detailed planning project documents at the 1/500 scale of the project. The investor consortium will continue to coordinate with authorities in the process of preparing, submitting and explaining project-related documents.

At the meeting, relevant
parties discussed processes and procedures to speed up the progress of
completing planning task documents and detailed planning projects. On this
basis, the Department of Planning and Investment makes detailed plans for
departments, sectors, localities and the investor of tasks need to be done in
the future.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said
that this project had been approved by the Provincial People's Council in 2022
and the provincial leaders were looking forward to quickly implementing it to
reduce pressure on waste treatment and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Therefore, it is necessary to speed up the feasibility study report project to
have a basis for project implementation. The consulting unit need to be more
focused and drastic; closely coordinate with provincial departments and sectors
in implementing the tasks of the feasibility study report.
The Department of Planning and Investment urges and supports the consulting
unit to complete the project and together with the Department of Construction,
make detailed plans for tasks, time, and responsibilities of relevant parties
and at the same time preside over monitoring, urging, and reporting to the
Provincial People's Committee every 2 weeks. The Department of Construction
coordinated with the district to solve the detailed planning task on 1/500
scale. The People's Committee of Vinh Cuu district, based on local
responsibilities, carries out tasks and carefully studies legal regulations to
simplify procedures for implementing detailed planning.
The household waste treatment plant project to generate electricity in Vinh Tan
commune, Vinh Cuu district has a total investment capital of nearly 2.3
trillion VND. The project has a total waste treatment capacity of 1.2 thousand
tons/day and power generation capacity of 30MW.
