(News Portal – Dong Nai) – From January 25 to 27, the Delegation of Kampong Thom province, Kingdom of Cambodia led by Mr. Chan Dara - Deputy Governor of Kampong Thom province paid Lunar New Year's visit and signed Memorandum of Understanding establishing friendly cooperative relations between Dong Nai province and Kampong Thom province.

At The Mira Central Park Convention Center, Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang and Deputy Governor of Kampong Thom province Mr. Chan Dara signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish friendly cooperative relations between Dong Nai province and Kampong Thom province (replacing the Memorandum of Understanding to establish friendly relations between the two sides signed on December 12, 2022) in the presence of representatives of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City and Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Son.

At the meeting, the two sides informed about the socio-economic situation of the two localities and discussed and exchanged issues of mutual concern. To date, Dong Nai province has established and signed 38 Memoranda of Understanding and International Cooperation Agreements at the provincial level and for the first time re-signed 13 Memorandums of Understanding and International Cooperation Agreements at the provincial level with localities and foreign partner. In particular, Dong Nai province has a friendly and cooperative relationship with Kampong Thom province. The two localities have signed many Memoranda of Understanding on cooperation in a number of fields.
This signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding to establish friendly relations between Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee and Kampong Thom Provincial Government will serve as a basis for the two sides to further strengthen friendly cooperation activities in the coming time.

At the Signing Ceremony,
Mr. Chan Dara - Deputy Governor of Kampong Thom province thanked Dong Nai
province leaders for welcoming the delegation respectfully and thoughtfully.
The fact that Dong Nai province supports the training of 10 scholarships at college
and university levels every year for Kampong Thom province shows the interest
of the Party Committee and Dong Nai province government in supporting training
resources for Kampong Thom province, contributing to building Cambodia in
general and Kampong Thom province in particular. The Deputy Governor also said
that in Kampong Thom province, there were currently raw materials such as
cashew nuts, rubber, cassava, rice... but there is no processing industry. Mr.
Chan Dara invited investors and businesses of Dong Nai province to join in paying
a Chol Chnam Thmay New Year’s visit in April 2024 to Kampong Thom to survey and
learn about the fields above to advance cooperation in the field of
agricultural product processing and bringing mutual benefits.
