Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Phi assessed that in 2024, the agricultural sector had set out multiple goals and tasks that need to be implemented, especially in building new rural areas, there is no stopping point. The set of criteria for advanced rural areas at both commune and district levels and a model new rural area sets out responsibilities for each officer, agency and unit to continue focusing on implementing the construction of new rural areas in the coming time. Xuan Loc district has completed the dossier waiting for the central government to appraise and recognize the advanced new rural area district in 2023. Dinh Quan district is completing the dossier to become an advanced new rural district. The province sets a specific goal of building new rural areas in 2024, hoping that departments and localities will strive to complete the tasks in 2024 as well as the entire term of 2021-2025 and prepare for the new term. In particular, the agricultural sector needs to focus on implementing tasks and plans from the first quarter of 2024.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Phi requested that immediately after the Lunar New Year 2024, localities needed to immediately focus on solving waste problems along roads, as well as bush fires affecting the environment. The province has a large forest area, so it needs to be managed and monitored regularly to avoid the risk of forest fires; it is necessary to focus on ensuring water sources for the winter-spring crop; take care of industrial trees and perennial fruit trees to prepare for the new harvest; localities need to develop resolutions focusing on implementing new rural areas, especially in implementing difficult criteria that are prone to violations; it is necessary to launch emulation and reward movements at commune, district and provincial levels to arouse a positive spirit of emulation; urging the implementation, report, evaluate results, and monitor the implementation process to serve as a basis for adjustments and supplements to better implement the proposed tasks; departments and sectors need to coordinate closely with localities to create synchronization in implementing criteria for building new rural areas.
