​Speakers exchange at the forum

​In his opening speech, Vice Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai affirmed that Vietnam's logistics sector has made significant progress, is one of the fastest and most stable growth sectors with an average growth of 14-16% per year, contributing to GDP from 4 to 5%. However, Vietnamese enterprises in trade exchange with the world in general and with Europe — America are still facing many difficulties and challenges.

Discussing at the Forum, the speakers said that 2023 has many difficulties and challenges. Vietnam's export and logistics enterprises face the consequences of inflationary pressure and the risk of global economic downturn leading to deterioration of export orders in key export markets of Vietnam such as the United States, the EU... The speakers also gave recommendations related to regulations, trade procedures, customs clearance issues that enterprises export to the United States market. United States or EU common, solutions to optimize logistics costs to increase competitiveness for export products.

According to Agility's Emerging Market Logistics Index for 2022, Vietnam ranked 11th in the ranking of top 50 emerging logistics countries and fourth in Southeast Asia. Trade turnover between Vietnam and the Europe-America region as of the end of November reached USD 212 billion, of which exports reached USD 171 billion increased by nearly 16%, exports to the region reached more than USD 128 billion.
