Fine hundreds of businesses
Currently, businesses in industrial zones across the province (about 1.5 thousand) are managed by the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the Provincial Police. From the beginning of 2022 until now, there is no big fire in the province, contributing to the concentration of labor and economic development.
This is the result of the recent time, the Provincial Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue has strengthened inspection and handling of violations on fire prevention and fighting. Up to now, the Division has inspected nearly 3,800 establishments, thereby sanctioning nearly 200 establishments with an amount of more than 1.96 billion VND.
Captain Nguyen Ba Giap said that from October 15th to now, the unit has conducted a general inspection and safety review of more than 1.6 thousand sites in the industrial zones. Thereby, it is noted that the majority of enterprises inspected have strictly comply with regulations on fire safety; in particular, maintenance of fire prevention teams, periodic maintenance of fire fighting vehicles, arrangement of appropriate emergency escape...
Besides, there are still many businesses that violate common errors such as: not checking and maintaining the system and means of fire prevention and fighting periodically; failing to equip fire protection equipment for grassroots fire prevention and fighting teams as prescribed. These are violations that are assessed by functional forces to reduce the ability of the grassroots firefighting force to handle the initial incidents and will be severely handled.
There are a number of businesses that violate many errors such as: A.V. One Member Co., Ltd. (Amata Industrial Park, Bien Hoa City) was sanctioned VND 25 million on 2-11 for violations: failing to check, maintain the system and fire fighting vehicles periodically; renovate, change the nature of use works or change the nature of motor transport when there is no certificate or document for approval of design and fire protection. Or B.V.N. Preventing fires from the moment they arise
Through the assessment of the provincial police, although there have been no major fires in the industrial zone since the beginning of 2022 until now, there have also been a number of incidents, fortunately, timely fire fighting. It shows that there is still a risk of fire in the industrial zone, especially in enterprises that focus a lot of raw materials, combustible materials such as fabric, leather shoes, paint, wood...
Most of the above fires are caused by electrical breakdowns during operation and production. Although it does not cause human damage, it has burned many machines, goods and finished products of enterprises. Typically, Changshin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (located in Thanh Phu Industrial Park, Vinh Cuu District) factory fire occurred twice on June 5 and October 17. Or earlier, in the morning of July 3, at Poh Huat Vietnam JSC (Tam Phuoc Industrial Zone, Bien Hoa City) there was a fire and damaged nearly 2 thousand m2 of wood drying chamber and paint factory of the company.
Particularly in Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park (Bien Hoa City), most of the facilities and enterprises in this IP were built and put into operation since before 1975, so the facilities, equipment and fire fighting facilities are lacking. In addition, due to the relocation process, the fire fighting work of some enterprises is limited, the investment in procurement of equipment, vehicles, fire systems encountered many difficulties, investment costs too large.
In the coming time, the functional forces will continue to promote inspection activities, urge fire safety. Among them, pay attention to fire safety inspection in industrial zones, especially in enterprises that produce combustible materials such as wood, textiles, fiber... thereby, strictly sanctioning violations of fire safety and recommending remediation of errors.
