Beverage industry: Efforts made to restore the production

Production Recovery

The beverage industry is one of the industries that has been heavily affected by the Covid-19 epidemic in 2021. According to a survey by Vietnam Report JSC, before 2020, the market of Vietnam's food and beverage (F&B) products have continuously grown and are assessed to be full of potential, the annual growth rate (CAGR 2021-2025) is 4.98%. The market size is expected to reach US$678 million with the number of users expected to reach 17.1 million by 2025. The Covid-19 pandemic has caused many businesses in the industry to have been facing the problem of survival. During the outbreak in April 2021 (peaking in July-August), the rate of severely affected businesses reached more than 91%.

Currently, enterprises have returned to normal production and flexibly and safely adapting to the epidemic is what businesses do to restore their production and business capacity. Businesses also said that the market is growing again, although it is quite difficult, the end of the year is also the time for the beverage industry to implement the stimulation programs towards consumer demand. The busy shopping time at the end of the year is the occasion for beverage brands to launch great promotions. Following the customer psychology, many Vietnamese brands quickly launch early promotions to gain an advantage in the year-end "race".

Due to the impact of the epidemic, consumers' shopping trends have also changed to a certain extent, so many businesses are paying more attention to brand recognition, capturing customer trends to have the suitable adjustment.

With large enterprises, national and international scale such as Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverage Joint Stock Corporation (SABECO), to serve the customers on the upcoming Tet Holiday, in early December, SABECO announced a promotion program " Tet for Reunion - Spring full of benefits" with many incentives and the opportunity to win many valuable rewards for customers. The program is widely implemented in many localities throughout the country.

Similarly, Director of Thien Trieu An Trade and Production Co., Ltd Dang Tran Hoang Thuy said that businesses are busy preparing to serve the market during Tet. Compared to previous years, this year the recovery situation is more difficult, in addition to the product lines of drinks name Ever made from fruits by enterprises, this year Thien Trieu An cooperates with an energy drink brand from Thailand to supply KingBull brand to the market. As a local unit, in order to compete, the company has directly expanded the distribution to a large number of workers in Industrial Zones and built their own support programs.

“We are cooperating with a number of businesses with a large number of workers to provide drinks made from fruits as well as energy drinks. Accordingly, at the end of this year, employees in enterprises who buy products of Thien Trieu An will receive a 20% discount compared to the market price" - Mr. Dang Tran Hoang Thuy added.
