the investor.
According to the Provincial People's Committee, in 2021, in the whole province, there have been 165 projects of foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises that were granted new investment certificates and registered for additional capital. In which, there are 55 newly licensed projects with a total registered capital of US$450 million and 110 projects requesting additional capital of US$850 million. Accordingly, the province's foreign investment attraction this year reached US$1.3 billion, exceeding the plan but decreasing slightly compared to 2020. The reason why this year's FDI attraction decreased slightly was due to the Covid-19 epidemic. It is difficult for FDI investors to sign the business contracts. In addition, Industrial Zones in the province do not have much land to lease to FDI enterprises.
Newly registered FDI projects and increased capital are mainly in the fields of industrial production and real estate.
