Groundbreaking ceremony of the Resettlement Area in Thong Nhat and Tan Mai Wards

On December 30, Bien Hoa City People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the technical infrastructure system of the Resettlement Area in Thong Nhat and Tan Mai Wards. This is one of the key projects of the province deployed in the city. Participants of the ceremony were Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung; Standing Member of Provincial Parity Committee, Secretary of Bien Hoa City Party Committee Vo Van Chanh and leaders of departments, sectors, City Party Committee, People's Committee of Bien Hoa City.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ton Trong, Director of Bien Hoa City Project Management Board, currently, the city is implementing many key projects such as: Dong Nai Riverside Road Project, Dong Nai River Embankment Project. The Road Project from Vuon Mit intersection to Vo Thi Sau Street, Cai Riverside Road Project, etc. Therefore, the demand for land for resettlement arrangement for people in these project areas is huge.

According to the plan, there will be 8 Resettlement Areas built to serve the resettlement arrangement for people when Bien Hoa City implements key works and projects, including the Resettlement Area in Thong Nhat and Tan Mai Wards.

Technical infrastructure construction project for the Resettlement Area in Thong Nhat and Tan Mai Wards has an area of ​​more than 8.5 hectares, invested in building a synchronous system of roads, trees, water supply and drainage, and the complete technical infrastructure. When completed, the project will meet the housing needs for nearly 1,900 people, equivalent to 468 land lots for resettlement. The total investment of the project is more than VND825 billion, construction time is 330 days.

To implement the project, Bien Hoa City has to recover more than 8.5ha of land from 317 households and 5 organizations, of which 225 households are subject to “white clearance”. These households will be resettled on site when phase 1 of the project is completed. Besides the Resettlement Area Projects in Thong Nhat and Tan Mai Wards, the city will also start construction of the Resettlement Area in Thong Nhat and Tan Mai 2 Wards in the near future. In addition, in 2022, Bien Hoa City will continue to carry out the construction of projects to build Resettlement Areas in Binh Da, Tam Hiep, Hoa An, and Buu Long Wards.
