Mr. Nguyen Tri Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade shared, along with the whole country, Dong Nai is trying to implement synchronous solutions to support enterprises in developing e-commerce, the launch of the Dong Nai E-commerce Website (ecdn.vn) is one of the solutions to support the development of small and micro enterprises. This is a push to create trust and protect consumers' interests in shopping through ecdn.vn in particular and reputable e-commerce websites in Vietnam in general.

Ecdn.vn is a channel to introduce, promote and sell products, goods and services to help businesses, cooperatives, and companies in the province to cut the intermediary costs, decrease the product costs, and encourage the consumption of the customers. Thereby bringing higher revenue, expanding the consumption market; helping enterprises to be proactive in planning their productions and quickly adjust to suit the actual situation.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Director of the E - Commerce Development Center (Vietnam E-Commerce and Digital Economy Agency - Ministry of Industry and Trade) shared, Dong Nai's great advantage to develop e-commerce is that the province has many local specialties and industrial products. This helps to promote trading activities in the online environment, which is increasingly developed, the amount of goods is more diverse and abundant. In fact, online retail activities through e-commerce websites of Dong Nai have grown quite well in recent years. Dong Nai has relatively high online retail sales compared to other provinces and cities.

“The implementation of Dong Nai E-commerce website will help the province have more opportunities to develop e-commerce activities and digital transformation. The highlight of ecdn.vn is that it is the first e-commerce website in the localities applying the online payments, combined with logistics services, etc. Dong Nai is one of the pioneering provinces and cities in this business" - Mr. Thanh added.

Looking forward to more channels of connection

Along with many traditional distribution channels, recently, e-commerce websites have gradually become a familiar, modern and effective distribution channel, contributing to the consumption of agricultural products and goods for the people and businesses.

Many businesses, cooperatives and consumers in the province expect that in the near future, when the Dong Nai e-commerce website comes into operation, it will be integrated with many utilities such as: easy ordering, delivery of goods, promoting the non-cash payment, as well as meeting activities of connecting, selling, promoting products nationwide, etc.

Mr. Tan Quyen, a resident in Trung Dung Ward, Bien Hoa City expressed: “As a person living in Bien Hoa City but working in Ho Chi Minh City, I feel very excited when the province launches its own e-commerce website. Because Dong Nai has many specialties, famous agricultural products, but currently, it has not been promoted online and build products images. Therefore, having a separate distribution and trading channel of these typical products will help businesses and manufacturers connect with markets inside and outside the province, towards sustainable development, in line with the development tendency in the industrial revolution 4.0. At the same time, the province's e-commerce website will be a reliable address with a clear origin, quality assurance, helping consumers in the province in general and the whole country in particular feel trustful to shop at competitive prices without losing much of travel time, especially during the complicated development of the Covid-19 epidemic".

Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Bao Tran, Head of Payment Department of Viet Nam Payment Solution Joint Stock Company (VNPay) shared, VNPay will support online payments on Dong Nai E-commerce website through QR code payment method. When customers decide to pay, a QR code will appear, which contains information about the value of the order for customers to pay conveniently, reduce errors, etc. Currently, VNPay's payment network is linked with 34 banks, 8 major e-wallets across the country. In the coming time, VNPay will continue to develop online payments, mobile handheld selling devices, including connection and support programs for Dong Nai E-Commerce Website.

Ms. Liu Thi Yen, Sales Manager of Thuan Huong Trading and Production Co., Ltd (Dinh Quan District) shared, the company aims to connect with large and reputable e-commerce websites to develop business. In particular, the company wants ecdn.vn to have more channels to connect and promote typical local products in general and products of the company's One Commune One Product (OCOP) program in particular.

Similarly, Ms. Dang Thi Thuy Nga, Director of Xuan Dinh Agricultural Service Trading Cooperative (Xuan Loc District) expressed that the cooperative wishes to be connected to bring many specialties and the key fruits in the local area to the e-commerce website of the province such as durian, rambutan, Thailand custard apple, etc. to expand the market, develop more consumption channels, and promote the local products.

The provision of shipping/delivery services, and business services on ecdn.vn will be performed by Dong Nai Post Office. Duong Thi Viet Huong, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Post Office said that Dong Nai Post Office will promote the connection of local products to provinces and cities across the country through the Dong Nai E-commerce Website. In addition to supporting transportation, the Post Office also has display and retail stores at post offices, postal transaction offices in communes and wards, contributing to promoting and expanding consumption channels for local products in the province.
