90% of Japanese projects invest in industry

​On February 20, Mr. Jun Maeda, Director of International Business of Kansai Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry. (METI-KANSAI) as the leader of the delegation, had a working session with Dong Nai Province on the contents signed and cooperated in the past years.

Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee said that Dong Nai and Kansai has signed a 5-year cooperation agreement and achieved many results in promotion, attraction and training of human resources. Many businesses of Kansai have come to the province to invest and operate relatively successfully. Up to now, Japanese enterprises have invested in Dong Nai with over USD 4.4 billion, of which about 90% of projects invested in industrial production. The province always creates favorable conditions for Japanese businesses to operate.
 
According to Mr. Jun Maeda, in the future, there will be many large and small enterprises of Japan as well as Kansai region will invest in the province. Therefore, it is recommended that the province soon approve to establish a network of coordinators to support information on the investment environment in Dong Nai for Japanese enterprises planning to invest in the province, and at the same time, connecting Dong Nai enterprises with Japanese enterprises to supply products and services to each other.
 

After working with the provincial leaders, the delegation worked with the Department of Planning and Investment to better understand the policies to attract investment of the province and working with the Department of Industry and Trade to discuss the investment in supporting industry development.s
