Workers of Eclat Vietnam Textile Co., Ltd (Nhon Trach) during working hours.
According to the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, from now until the end of the first quarter, the enterprises in the province need to recruit about 30,000 laborers, of which the demand for unskilled workers accounts for more than 90%. A few enterprises in the fields of textile and garment, leather and shoe are recruiting workers in large numbers are: Changshin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Vinh Cuu district) is recruiting over 4,500 workers, Pousung Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bau Xeo industrial park, Trang Bom district) is recruiting 3,000 workers, Hwaseung Vina Co., Ltd. (Nhon Trach 1 and Nhon Trach industrial parks) and Tokin Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Long Binh industrial park) are recruiting about 1,500 workers each... Many other enterprises also plan to recruit from 100 to under 1,000 workers in 2019. The enterprises also said that recruitment of large numbers of workers is due to the fact that they are building more factories and expanding production. Only a small portion is replacements for workers do not return to work after Tet.
Solutions to stabilize production
Focusing on recruiting, training to improve skills for workers, investing in technology to increase productivity are the solutions that processing enterprises are implementing to meet production requirements.
Eclat Vietnam Textile Co., Ltd said, in addition to paying higher wage than the region's minimum wage being 5.24 million VND / month for workers on probation period and 5.55 million VND / month for contracted workers, the enterprise also provides more benefits than stated in the regulations for workers. Combined with allowances, benefits, the monthly income of the workers is raised from 6.8 million VND to 10 million VND / person. In addition, skilled workers may get an extra 600,000 VND / month. Every year, exceptional workers are considered by the enterprise to travel abroad. Every month, the enterprise rewards workers with innovations and creativity... In addition, the enterprise also has activities to take care of the mental wellbeing of workers such as organizing travel tours and sports festivals each year. Especially in this April of 2019, the enterprise will organize a lucky draw program with 500 gifts, including 20 motorbikes, dozens of television sets, refrigerators, washing machines, mobile phones on the occasion of celebrating the founding day of the enterprise.
According to the Chairman of the Province Labor Federation Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nhu Y, the lack of labor of enterprises in the province in recent time is quite common. The reasons are because the number of enterprises is increasing, the demand for worker recruitment is increasing, meanwhile most of the provinces are forming their own industrial parks and clusters, and the enterprises also tend to open branches in places with many local workers. This not only causes the number of workers coming from other provinces to work at Southern Vietnam in general and Dong Nai in particular to decrease compared to the previous years but also pulls a part of the workers working in Dong Nai back to their hometown. In addition to the aforementioned solutions to stabilize production, many Enterprises are also actively taking steps to improve the quality of life for workers so that they can focus on their works through monthly welfare, allowances and subsidies and many other activities that take care of the mental wellbeing of the workers.
That is also the reason that while some enterprises are finding it hard to recruit workers, there are also enterprises in which workers are "lining up" to apply for a job. Because at those enterprises, the salary, bonus and welfare are good, and that the workers are valued.
Supporting enterprises in the recruitment process
The Provincial Employment Service Center said that since the Lunar New Year 2019, there have been more than 20 enterprises in the province registering to join the first job transaction session in the year which is held on Feb 25th at the Provincial Employment Service Center (Tan Hiep Ward, Bien Hoa City) with the need to recruit more than 1,000 unskilled workers. The industries that are recruiting the most workers are: garment, leather and shoes, and wooden furniture. To connect labor supply and demand, the Provincial Employment Service Center will organize a fixed and mobile job transaction session in localities, universities, colleges and intermediate schools. Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs also continued to support Enterprises in seeking and approaching workers in other localities
