Strictly comply the commitment of Long Thanh Airport construction site hand-over in phase 1

On October 20, Dong Nai held a ceremony to hand over more than 1.8 thousand hectares of land to serve the construction of Long Thanh International Airport phase 1, thereby keeping its commitments to the Government on project clearance progress.

Dong Nai has completed the liquidation of the rubber plantation to hand over the ground for construction of Long Thanh airport phase 1.

 

In order to serve the construction of Long Thanh airport phase 1, Dong Nai has committed to hand over the area of more than 1.8 thousand hectares  in October 2020 to Government. To present, the clearance of this area has been basically completed by Dong Nai.

In the area of more than 1.8 thousand hectares, there are about 1.2 thousand hectares of rubber plantations of Dong Nai Rubber Corporation. After nearly 3 months of liquidating, currently the entire rubber garden area has been completed liquidating and ready to hand over the site.

For an area of about 630 hectares under the use rights of households and individuals, the People's Committee of Long Thanh district has basically completed the payment of compensation and support. Specifically, Long Thanh Enterprise Committee has made 6 payments of compensation and support. For the remaining 2 terms, Long Thanh People's Committee has also publicly listed the compensation plan for the people. “The payment of compensation and support money will be performed on October 23rd, 8th term, the last payment for people in the area of more than 1.8 thousand hectares of land will also be held at the end of upcoming October ”- Mr. Le Van Tiep, Vice Chairman of People's Committee of Long Thanh district said.

Mr. Le Van Tiep also added that, according to the agreed plan, the handover of the site will be carried out first for the area of rubber gardens and the area of agricultural production land of the people. For the residential land, after handing over the land in Loc An - Binh Son resettlement area to the people, the locality will carry out the site clearance work to hand over the site. During the construction of houses in the resettlement area, Dong Nai will also pay temporary housing fees for the households.

Currently, the Provincial People's Committee is also requesting the investor who is the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Unit and contractors to speed up the construction of infrastructure 2, zones 7 and 9 in the resettlement area of Loc An - Binh Son. These are the two areas that will arrange resettlement for the first households in the Long Thanh airport project.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, in addition to the area of more than 1.8 thousand hectares of committed land, Dong Nai will also hand over an additional 500 hectares of rubber gardens which have been liquidated in the remaining 3 thousand hectares area to build the Long Thanh airport. Thus, not only in accordance with the commitment to hand over more than 1.8 thousand hectares of land for the construction of Long Thanh airport phase 1 in October 2020, but Dong Nai will also immediately hand over 2.3 thousand hectares of land area belonging to the Long Thanh airport project.

As for the remaining area, Dong Nai has also set a target to complete the application of compensation prices in 2020 and will hand over the entire remaining area in the second quarter of 2021.
