According to Dong Nai Statistics Department, in January 2022, the consumer price index (CPI) in the province increased by 0.54% compared to the previous month in December 2021.

Last January was the month adjacent to the Lunar New Year, the demand for shopping and consumption increased, so the price of goods increased according to the law. The main reason for the consumer price index to increase by 0.54% this month compared to the previous month was that housing, electricity, water and construction materials increased by 1.5%, contributing to the overall increase of CPI of 0.3%; the traffic group increased by 1.24% contributed to the CPI increase of 0.13% this month; food and catering services increased by 0.24%, which made January's CPI increase by 0.08%.

In addition, in January 2022, the average gold price increased by 0.45% compared to the previous month. USD price index this month decreased by 0.09% compared to the previous month.
