Dong Nai People’s Committee’s report shows that in the nine months of 2011 GDP is estimated at VND30.89 trillion, accounting for 75.2 percent, up 13.2 percent over the same period.
Industry-Construction hits 72.6 percent according to plans, up 14.2 percent over the same period; Services hits 82.3 percent according to plans, up 14.8 percent over the same period; Agriculture-Forestry-Aquaculture hits 74.5 percent according to plans, up 3.6 percent over the same period.
Accordingly, industrial production is estimated at VND86.30 trillion, accounting for 71.4 percent according to plans, up 17.3 percent over the same period.
Central state-owned sector is estimated to hit 66.1 percent according to plans, up 2.8 percent; local state-owned sector is estimated to hit 69.1 percent according to plans, up 6.2 percent; non-state sector is estimated to hit 72.9 percent according to plans, up 20.4 percent; foreign-invested sector is estimated to hit 71.9 percent according to plans, up 18.9 percent.
9 out of 9 major industries grew over the same period.
Mining-Building Material Production, Agricultural Product Processing, Textile-Garment-Footwear, Wood Processing, Paper-Publishing, Chemical-Rubber-Plastics, Engineering, Electricity-Electronics, Electricity-Water, and Construction increase by 11.1 percent, 19.3 percent, 23.2 percent, 19.2 percent, 6.7 percent, 14.7 percent, 15.8 percent, 7.7 percent, 25.8 percent, and 25 percent, respectively.

Export turnover is estimated to hit 84.5 percent according to plans, up 30.3 percent over the same period.
Import turnover is estimated to hit 84 percent according to plans, up 23.7 percent over the same period.
Foreign investment attraction is estimated to represent 73.5 percent according to plans - 77.5 percent.
Domestic investment attraction hits 80 percent according to plans.
Total registered investment capital from private economic sectors hit VND14.1 trillion, reaching 88 percent according to plans, approximately 91 percent over the same period.
1,500 newly-established companies and 470 others registered to pour more investment capital.
Total retail sales hit 74.3 percent according to plans, up 24.8 percent over the same period.
In particular, Commerce, Hotel-Restaurant, Services, and Travel increase by 24 percent, 23.1 percent, 26.2 percent, and 24 percent over the same period, respectively.
Consumer Price Index in September 2011 increases by 2.87 percent compared with August in 2011 and by 22.73 percent over the same period in 2010.
Budget revenue is estimated to hit 78 percent, up 19 percent over the same period and budget spending is estimated to hit 62 percent, up 43 percent over the same period.
Such areas as environmental resources management, science, and technology have seen many positive changes. In the nine months of 2011, 6,924 land use right certificates were granted. 14 scientific research projects were summed up, transferred, and applied and the progress of 17 others was pre-summed up and assessed.
In terms of social culture, cultural, sports, and tourism activities were held successfully.
Social policies were paid much attention to and in the nine months of 2011 jobs were generated for 78,243 people, accounting for 86.9 percent according to plans, up 1 percent over the same period.
In terms of health sector, hand-foot-mouth disease tended to be harder to control.
In the eight months of 2011, there were 3,724 cases of hand-foot-mouth disease, and 21 people were killed.

The meeting discussed socio-economic forecast in 2012. Three solutions were given and the majority of participants at the meeting agreed upon socio-economic growth solution by 12 to 13 percent.
Also at the meeting, Director of Department of Planning and Investment Bo Ngoc Thu presented the report on the implementation of the government’s Resolution no. 11 at all agencies and units in the province.
Accordingly, Dong Nai asked the government for permission to continue carrying out urgent projects in 2011. 25 other urgent projects continue to be implemented as scheduled.
Addressing the meeting, Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai stressed that with achievements in the nine months of 2011,
Dong Nai will continue implementing the government’s Resolution no. 11 seriously and achieving socio-economic targets in 2011.
With achievements in 2011, Dong Nai People’s Committee will report to Dong Nai People's Council on the province’s socio-economic growth targets in 2012 - 12 to 13 percent.
