Red Cross Plays A Key Role in People-Mobilizing Affairs

On the occasion of the 65th Anniversary of Vietnam Red Cross and the 35th Anniversary of Dong Nai Red Cross, Dong Nai Red Cross held a get-together for its previous members.

The anniversary was attended by Member of the Central Party, Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee, and Honorary Chairperson of Dong Nai Red Cross Tran Dinh Thanh, and Member of the Standing Committee at Dong Nai Party Committee and Chairperson of Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee Vy Van Vu.

Addressing the anniversary, Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh asked levels of Party Committee, authorities, Fatherland Front Committee, and Red Cross to further strengthen propaganda plans for officers, members, youth, adolescents, volunteers, and people from all walks of life by educating them about the country’s humanitarian traditions, thereby helping raise their awareness of the responsibilities of levels of authorities, sectors, and social organizations and of people towards Red Cross affairs, and considering Red Cross affairs as an important part of people mobilization mission.

Red Cross’s activities and movements are required to be more and more practical and effective, and to meet public demand.

Each activity is supposed to be sustainable and show social depths. Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh asked levels of Red Cross to pay frequent attention to having their officers and staff work more effectively and to be enthusiastic about their movements.

On this occasion, Central Vietnam Red Cross awarded commemorative medals to 245 individuals in Dong Nai.

Dong Nai Red Cross granted six scholarships for students with exceptionally difficult living conditions, making loans 25 poor families, who raise cows.
