Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh is addressing the meeting |
Addressing the meeting, Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh concluded that after the implementation of Dong Nai Party Committee’s resolution no. 06 on compensation, support, and resettlement in the province has achieved important results. However, there remain a lot of challenges and weaknesses.
- The arrangement of resettlement areas remains low (51.1 percent).
- The cooperation between units lacks uniformity.
- The staffs in charge of compensation, support, and resettlement in many areas and in many levels of authorities have not reached requirements concerning workload.
In order to continue the implementation of compensation, support, and resettlement, Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee asked departments, sectors, and localities to review all concerned contents so that effective measures would be taken and the Central government-related issues should be proposed to the province for consideration.
After the implementation of resettlement projects, it is necessary to take the lives of resettled households into consideration and offer employment with the aim of making sure that people’s lives will be better improved than before resettlement.
