The delegation was received by Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee and Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai, Member of the Standing Committee at Dong Nai Party Committee and Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Council Tran Van Tu, Chairperson of Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, and representative leaders from departments, committees, and sectors.
On behalf of Dong Nai leadership, delivering a speech to welcome the high-level delegation from Champasak province, Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai warmly received the delegation on their working visit to Dong Nai.
Also, Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Committee extended congratulations to the great success of the first session of the 7th Tenure National Assembly Congress of Lao People's Democratic Republic.
He said that on the basis of both countries’ traditional long-standing friendship and special solidarity the Parties, the two governments, and the two peoples’ comprehensive cooperation will surely grow and bring out practical results.
In recent years, the relations between Dong Nai and Lao partners including Champasak province have been paid much attention to and constantly promoted by the provincial leadership.
Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai highly appreciated Champasak province’s socio-economic achievements in its economic development process.
Dong Nai always provides encouragement and support for its businesses, which wish to invest in and do business in Laos, said Thai.
For the time being, Dong Nai’s two companies having their investment in Laos are Tin Nghia Corporation and Long Thanh Golf Investment and Business Joint Stock Company.
Dong Nai pledges that it will be ready to provide favorable conditions for Lao businesses to wish to invest in, build factories in, and seek for business partners in Dong Nai.

In addition, Champasak province’s high-level delegation’s working visit to Dong Nai is a vivid testament to the solidarity and friendship between Dong Nai and Champasak.
Following the visit, Dong Nai and Champasak will attempt to maximize strengths, and to focus on the resources and key areas that are two provinces’ concerns in order that both sides will have specific and sustainable cooperation programs until 2020 and later.
Mr. Son Xay Si Phan Don thanked the Party and the people of Dong Nai for the profound love towards the delegation on its working visit to Dong Nai.
Also, he reported on the achievements that Champasak obtained in 2010 and in the first half of 2011 and expressed his desire to share Champasak’s experience with Dong Nai and learn the province’s experience in how to plan industrial parks and attract foreign investment.
Champasak is one of the key economic regions with great development potentials in Laos.
The province has an area of 15,000 square kilometers and a population of over 640,000 people.
It has potentials to develop long-term industrial crops such as cocoa, coffee, rubber, and so on, said Mr. Son Xay Si Phan Don.

At the reception, the representatives from Department of Planning and Investment reported to Champasak province’s high-level delegation on Dong Nai’s socio-economic situation in 2010 and in the first half of 2011, development targets and plans until 2015, and policies to attract foreign investment capital.
Dong Nai and Champasak agreed to further promote both sides’ comprehensive cooperation in the spirit of cooperation, respect and mutual understanding, and to strengthen the working visits of both sides’ leadership.
At the reception, both sides signed a friendship and cooperation memorandum for the next five years with such contents as promoting investment in economic, cultural, and social areas, and boosting up study, exchange, and experience sharing
Following the reception, the Champasak delegation paid a visit to and burned incense at Tran Bien Temple of Literature.
Earlier, the delegation paid a visit to and had a working session with Tin Nghia Corporation and Amata (Vietnam) Joint Stock Company, and heard an introduction speech of the investment climate in Amata Industrial Park.
