At the working session, Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Council Tran Van Tu expressed his joy to receive Mr. Do Gi Pork and Gyeongnam People’s Committee delegation on the occasion of their visit to Dong Nai.
Chairperson of Dong Nai People's Council stressed that 2011 is a year to mark 15 years (1996-2011) for the two provinces; signing an friendly cooperation agreement according to every specific area and content.
Over the past 15 years, both sides have organized visits to each other’s countries for their leadership delegations to learn from each other.
Particularly, both sides’ friendly cooperation relationship has contributed to Dong Nai’s success.
The results in 2010 show that the province's total GDP grew by 13.5 percent compared with 2009 and that GDP over nine months of 2011 is estimated to grow by 13.2 percent.
There have been 978 investment projects from 35 countries and territories in Dong Nai. Among those projects, Korea is ranked as the second biggest investor in terms of investment projects and the capital.
On behalf of Gyeongnam People’s Committee delegation, Mr. Heo Do Gi highly appreciated Dong Nai leadership’s well-prepared reception for the delegation.
Also, he hoped that the relationship between Gyeongnam and Dong Nai will continue to achieve new development.
On the evening of the same day, provincial leadership had a party to welcome the delegation and held a Vietnam-Korea cultural exchange program at Buu Long tourist attraction.
September 27, Gyeongnam’s delegation will visit Tran Bien Temple, Dong Nai Industrial Zone Authority, Hwaseung Vina Co., Ltd. (Korean) in Nhon Trach district.
