The State President Nguyen Minh Triet Pays a Visit to and Extends Tet Holiday Wishes to the Party and the People of Dong Nai: Dong Nai Must Be the Leading Province in the Southern Key Economic Region

The State President was received by and had a working session with Member of the Central Party, Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Council Tran Dinh Thanh; Deputy Secretary of the Standing Committee at Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Phuong; Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot; Members from Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and from the 10th tenure Dong Nai Provincial Executive Party Committee and the cadres who are the former Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries and members of the Standing Committee at Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee of the previous tenures.

Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh reported to the State President on how the residents of Dong Nai were taken care of in Lunar New Year 2011 (The Year of Cat).

Thanh said: “In recent years, in addition to targets to boost the economic growth, Dong Nai always puts focus on social security. Thus, thanks to the efforts of its Party and people, Dong Nai has reached and exceeded major targets concerning socio-economic development and national defence and security and so on”.

In terms of the preparation work for Lunar New Year 2011, Dong Nai focused on looking after its government policy beneficiaries, strengthened the implementation of policies on price stability and salary bonus for workers and getting trains and coaches ready for all passengers to return to their home for Tet holidays as planned, added Thanh.

Also, Thanh revealed his great determination to lead and direct the Party of Dong Nai to fulfil targets and tasks in 2011 in order that Dong Nai deserves to be a developed province in the Southern key economic region.

In his speech, the State President Nguyen Minh Triet highly appreciated the achievements that Dong Nai has obtained the past years.

These achievements are great contributions to the country’s growth, said Triet.

Triet hoped that Dong Nai would keep promoting its strengths to be the leading province in the Southern key economic region and in the country as well.

“Dong Nai is a province with great advantages in developing sustainably. First, Dong Nai has the staff through systematic training and a lot of refresher courses. In addition, Dong Nai has its own advantages of a key province in the region. I believe that Dong Nai will be able to overcome difficulties for a completion of assigned tasks”, continued Triet.

However, Triet noted that Dong Nai ought not to be satisfied with its achievements and that Dong Nai was supposed to be strict with itself, identify its weaknesses and introduce proper development policies.

Also, Triet reminded that apart from its focus on leadership and directions towards economic development Dong Nai had to pay attention to promoting the building of the Party for a clean and strong Party in the eyes of the people.

Within his working visit to Dong Nai, Triet paid a visit to Colonel and Former Commander of Rung Sac Commando 10 Le Ba Uoc (who is living in Quyet Thang ward, Bien Hoa city) and Mr. Phan Dong with seventy years in the Party (in Tan Phong ward, Bien Hoa city).
