Dong Nai’s Health Service celebrated Vietnamese Doctor‘s Day, February 27th.

On the morning of February 27, Dong Nai’s health service held a special celebration to mark the 54th anniversary of the Vietnamese Doctor’s Day (Feb 27th, 1955 – Feb 27th, 2009) and made a summary of the movement of emulation and patriotism of Dong Nai’s health service in 2008. Among those attending the anniversary and giving congratulations to the health service were the Vice-chairwoman of People’s Committee – Huynh Thi Nga and the provincial People’s Committee – Nguyen Van Dung.

    President Ho Chi Minh’s letter to health service staff and the congratulatory letter of Dong Nai Provincial Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee to the Health Service on Vietnamese Doctor’s Day were read aloud in the meeting.

    In 2008, thanks to the efforts and determination of all the health service staff, it overcame difficulties to achieve the set goals: reinforcing and perfecting staff structure; reforming administrative procedures, building the quality management system ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14000:2004; promoting medical socialization; upgrading facilities; improving the quality of the team of nurses and doctors… to satisfy the demand of public health care. Many excellent collectives and individuals appeared in the 2008 movement of emulation and patriotism. On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee offered the emulation flag to three collectives: the Secretariat of Health Department, the provincial back-up Health Center and Dong Nai general hospital. The title “Excellent Collective” was conferred on 98 units and the certificates of merit were awarded to 38 collectives and 62 individuals.

    On speaking and congratulating the health service on February 27th, the provincial Vice – Chairwoman Huynh Thi Nga sent her gratitude to its staff. Over the past time, the team of nurses and doctors has attempted to provide medical treatment and healthcare for public. Health service has constantly invested in facilities, state-of-the-art equipment and machinery, training, and improving the quality of its medical team to ensure a better and better public healthcare. Nevertheless, the human resourses are limited and the manners of service and communicative skills of part the team of nurses and doctors have annoyed patients. A number of clinics have had inadequate investment. The Vice – Chairwoman suggested that with compassion, doctors try to get over difficulties and better look after patients. Each staff must make more effort. At first, it is necessary to make a plan, follow health service socialization, quickly apply new technology to diagnosis and treatment, encourage more doctors to work in clinics, have a rotating doctor transfer from high – level clinics to lover – level ones, promote medical development in industrial parks and school medical care, diversify types of medical examination and treatment and encourage the investment in private clinics.
