At 20 o'clock May 16, residents at Tan Tien hamlet, Xuan Hiep commune (Xuan Loc district) reported commune public security about a Chinese-speaking man wandering to find relatives in the area but no specific address. Xuan Hiep commune police and Xuan Loc district police have invited the man to the station in order to verify the identity, content of incident. The man showed the passport name: Lu Ke Qiang, date of birth 1942, at Nanning Province (China). Entry visa valid from May 07 to June 07, 2014.
Mr. Qiang told that he entered from May 14 through Mong Cai border gate (Quang Ninh Province) to find relatives in Long Khanh town, Dong Nai Province. Because of unclear the specific address of relatives, he lost his way at Xuan Loc district.
The Police of district identified this is the case of getting lost so directing the Xuan Hiep Police arranged the accommodation, overnight stay for this guest. At the same time, May 16, police also arranged a policeman and a Chinese Vietnamese (as interpreter) to help this visitor find relatives in Long Khanh. After almost a day of searching, Mr. Qiang knew that his relatives are dead and their descendants have moved elsewhere to live.
After that, Mr. Qiang told he want to return China but had no money. Prior to that situation, Xuan Hiep Commune People Committee has mobilized support for Mr. Qiang a ticket and traveling expenses with the amount of nearly 1.5 million. Before boarding back to China through Mong Cai border gate, Mr. Qiang very touched and expressed deep thanks to the authority and people of Xuan Hiep has dedicated to help him after those day looking relatives on this land… “After returning home, I will tell the Chinese people that The government and people of Vietnam are very friendly, full of mutual affection and love. That's reflected in everything they do for me after nearly 3-day odyssey in this country”, confided Mr. Lu Ke Qiang, Chinese citizen.
