In the morning of June 24, Chairman of Provincial People Committee (PPC), Dinh Quoc Thai had warmly received Dr. Thomas Loidl, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria.
At the meeting, PPC’s Chairman, Dinh Quoc Thai presented socio-economic situation of Dong Nai province and expressed his wish to appeal the investment from foreign enterprises, including businesses of Republic of Austria in priority industries such as high technology, clean production, banking and financial services, infrastructure, etc.
Mr. Thomas Loidl thanked the provincial leader for formally welcoming him. Mr. Thomas Loidl also said that Austria and Vietnam are two countries with many similar cultures. A lot of Austrian businesses and organizations have cooperated in various fields with Vietnam in general and Dong Nai in particular, but the cooperative level does not match with each country’s potential and advantage. The ambassador stated that he would make great efforts to enhance the efficiency of cooperation with Vietnam partner, basing on memorandum between the two leaders at a working visit to Vietnam of President of Republic of Austria, Mr. Heinz Fischer in 2012.
