Effective implementation of foreign policy

​On July 7, Mr. Tran Minh Thau, Standing member of Party Central Committee and Party Provincial Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Inspection Commission; and Mr. Tran Van Vinh, deputy chairman of provincial People's Committee had a working session with Mr. Nguyen Tuan Phong, Vice Chairman and the working delegation of External Relations Commission of Party Central Committee on implementing the province’s foreign policy for the first 6 months. 




Provincial leaders reported that in the first six months of 2014, six missions were sent to abroad working trip to expand foreign activities in the fields of politics, economics, culture and society. In terms of economic field, the province has attracted 826 million USD of foreign direct investment (FDI), including 37 newly-registered projects with total funding of 344 million USD and 32 fund-added projects of 482 million USD, exceeding 3.8 % of the yearly plan and indicating a 38% year-on-year increase.

In particular, after some enterprises were damaged by some extremists taking advantage of anti-China protest for its illegal placement of Hai Duong 981 oil rig; Dong Nai authority assisted the riot-affected businesses to resume their production and business activities as well as estimated damage level to support enterprises. The province authority also held many meetings to listen to, and share with enterprises about their recent difficulties and obstacles.

Besides, Dong Nai promoted training course to all levels cadres on policy related to the Party’s foreign policy. And external relation is regarded as an important front in socio-economic development. 

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Phong, Vice chairman of Commission for External Relations of Party Central Committee highly evaluated the synchronized implementation of foreign policy of Dong Nai during the last years. Some of typical examples are increasing FDI attraction, absolute confidence of foreign investors. Mr. Nguyen Tuan Phong assumed that Dong Nai’s experience in following the foreign policy is worth being replicated throughout the country.
