Industrial production value in October, 2009 hits over VND7.6 billion

The situation of industrial production in October, 2009 and in ten months of 2009 shows positive results. October’s production value reaches VND7.675 trillion, up 1.38% compared to the previous month. Ten months’ accumulative value is estimated at VND68.3929 trillion, up 8.86% over the same period, accounting for 81.47% compared to the year plan.

    Particularly, central state-owned industries in October grow by 1.74% compared to the previous month and ten months’ production rises by 0.96% over the same period. Though local state-owned industries in October decline by 8.5% compared to the previous month, ten months’ production goes up by 4.57%. Non-state industries in October grow by 1.4% compared to the previous month and ten months’ production increases by 8.8% over the same period, accounting for 82.08% of the year plan. Foreign-invested industries in October grow by 1.8% compared to the previous month and ten months’ production rises by 10.36% over the same period, accounting for 81.46% of the year plan. Some industries increase by over 10%: textile (up 13.32%), clothing and leather (up 14.28%), medical equipment (up 13.57%) and wooden furniture (up 13.84%).
