Output value of agriculture, forestry and aquaculture in 2009 is estimated at VND7,520 billion, fulfilling 100.5% of the plan, up 4.505 over the same period last year. That includes VND6,799 billion in agriculture, fulfilling 98.9% of the plan, up 4.4% over the same period; VND80.5 billion in forestry, fulfilling 96.6% ofthe plan, up 1.3% over the same period; VND641.8 billion in aquaculture, fulfilling 122.1% of the plan, up 6.8% over the same period.

Accordingly, the total cultivation area in 2009 covers 360 hectares, including 189 hectares of yearly plants, and 171 hectares of long term plants and fruit trees, and plant mechanism transfer from corn to fruit trees with 259 hectares and yearly plants to long term plants with 599 hectares.  

 By applying effectively scientific and technological advances in production, productivity, quality of plants have increased dramatically, like rice, vegetables, pepper, rubber producing 44.98 quintals/ha, up 1.7%; 56.2 quintals/ha, up 1.54%; 126.34 quintals/ha, up 1.22%; 18.82 quintals/ha, up 1.03%; 16.9 quintals/ha, up 0.32% respectively, etc.

 Animal husbandry this year has been fairly stable due to diseases being under control. The number of livestock and poultry is up, compared with the same period last year, including 1,13 million swines, up 10.4%; 100.4 thousand beefs, up 11.4%; 6.4 million chickens, up 15.7% etc.
