Mr. Tran Anh Tuan – Chairman of Xuan Loc district – said: “After receiving guidelines from provincial authority, Xuan Loc district planned to fulfill 14 solution groups of building new rural life as proposed by the provincial authority and 8 groups of task and solution by district’s Party Committee. Based on the plan, we have to speed up agricultural producing projects in the district.
Specifically, the speed-up process will be applied for key agricultural programs such as Donataba agro-industrial complex, including the effective development of Agroland project; multiplying high economic production models, improving agricultural produce’s quality, value; founding high-productivity clubs, farm and cooperative association, etc These help restructure plant cultivation in the right direction and creating specialized plant areas; actively applying scientific and technological advances into production and prioritizing biological technology, etc. As a result, the yield per a production unit rises by 4.4% - 4.48%. “There are now many integrated husbandry areas without large land but they can offer high economic value, sustainable effectiveness and stable life for peasants”, told Mr. Tran Anh Tuan.

In addition to focus on agricultural growth, new rural life and better agricultural production service, Xuan Loc entirely aims to build infrastructural facilities such as health care clinic, school, and complete rural traffic system in particular. The district is known to complete reservoir Gia Mang, pumping and irrigating system from La Nga river and overflow dyke for improved irrigation and water supply for daily life; investing in installing electric network, pumping station for agricultural production; mobilizing lots of resources and financing households and businesses.
In the line of agricultural development strategy, Xuan Loc is now boosting up large and small sized industry to convert economic structure as directed; encouraging various economic components to invest in and expand local key sectors such as agricultural and food processing, etc. Mr. Tran Anh Tuan added that the experience that the district learned from the campaign of building new rural life is the leading and dynamic role in embedded projects and capital sources in order to the pushing power for building new rural life.
Hence, though initiating conditions, inflation and economic crisis are taking effects, resident’s lives are improved remarkably. The income per capita in 2009 rose by 19.1% and in 2010 rose by 33.8%. The social welfare and poverty reduction are rather fair.
