Conference to Assist Medium and Small Sized Companies Held

To help businesses get a better understanding of the government’s investment priority policies, Department of Planning and Investment convened a conference to start the implementation of Decree no.61/2010/ND-CP on the encouragement of investment in agriculture and rural areas, and of Decree no. 56/2009/ND-CP on the development assistance that is given to small and medium sized companies.

The conference attracted nearly 50 companies.

According to the government’s Decree no.61,  agricultural project investors on the list of investment priority projects have the following projects:

- Agricultural priority investment projects that are being implemented in the areas on the list of the regions with a difficult socio-economy required by law.

- Agricultural investment priority projects and those that encourage investment stated in Article 3 of Decree no. 61 will be entitled to investment priviledges and assistance such as exemption or reduction of land use fees, and land lease funding.

Conference to implement medium and small sized company assistance programs

Also, super small-sized, small-sized, and medium-sized companies are eligible to enjoy such preferences as assistance with human resources training, with market expansion, with consulting services, with scientific and technological application, and with freight according to investment assistance Articles 9 to 13 in Chapter in this decree.

Decree no.56 states that the government will help with finance, production facility site, renovations, technological improvement, technical advancement and market expansion promotion, thereby providing favorable conditions for small and medium sized companies, helping these companies with machinery and equipment purchase, and providing public services, information, and consulting services for them.

Simultaneously, the government will help these companies with human resources training that primarily focuses on corporate administration, and provide them with business activities and essential resources with the aim of assisting them put their business and technology ideas into reality.
