Dong Nai completes roadmap for SOE privatization in 2014 and 2015

​In the morning of July 07, Central Committee of Enterprises Innovation and Development worked with Provincial People's Committee (PPC) on the progress of restructuring, privatizing, divestment for state owned enterprises (SOEs) in the province


​In the report of PPC, there are 53 SOEs, including 12 one member limited companies, 1 two- member limited companies and 40 joint stock companies in the province. Pursuant to Decision no. 929 of the Prime Minister on approving the scheme "Restructuring SOEs, focusing on economic groups and corporations for the period 2011 and 2015", PPC issued Decision on "approving reshuffle plans from 2012 to 2015, a vision towards 2020" for Dong Nai Import Export Processing Agricultural Products and Food Company, Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation, Dong Nai Corporation for Industrial Zones Development. In addition, the province authority also pushes the reshuffle, equitization and divestment for SOEs in accordance with the outlined plan. However, there are still many obstacles in implementation period, such as defining long-term capital source of enterprises, the criteria and requirement for board of members, wage system, etc.

At the working session, Dong Nai province required the working delegation to recommend the government for quickly promulgating regulations on: recruitment, salary and bonus system for enterprises in which the State owns more than 50% charter capital. Vice Chairman of PPC, Mr. Tran Minh Phuc affirmed that in the upcoming time, the province will keep its focus on directing related agencies, units to plan and implement privatizing and divesting SOEs so that the target plan can be achieved in 2014 and 2015. For Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation in which the government holds from 65% to 75% controlling stake, will be returned to private sector after 2015.
